In preparation of an exhibition entitled

Robert Lebeck, born on March 21, 1929 in Berlin, is the living legend of photography in post-war Germany. Due to their historical dimension, his sensational photos take the onlooker's breath today still. When contemplating the photos of Willy Brandt or Romy Schneider you have the impression that the atmosphere caught in the picture jumps over to the spectator. Just the one very short moment together with the confidence between photographer and motive render the photo an icon.
In my pieces of work I intend to take up the special moment caught in the photos of Willy Brandt and translate it into my own language of sketches and models.
For me it is a great honour to be allowed to model and draw Robert Lebeck in autumn. These first rough drafts will help me for my preparation.
